2011+ ex-l Winter wheels no TPMS - chime?

I've lived without tpms on multiple vehicles while saving some cash and not including tpms on a winter wheel/tire combo. I just ordered some M3 replicas with general altimax from tire rack. The most I've been inconvenienced in the past is a light on the dash and the responsibility to maintain adequate tire pressure, which I am fine with. A repeating audible chime while driving, I cannot deal with (its my wife's daily driver and shell go nuts on me).

Ive seen some threads on running w/o tpms but only one post that mentioned a chime... Most of the conversation centered on deactivation of traction control. Anybody dealt with this or have experience? I'd love to know before I go out to my garage and swap them out.
    pmany thanks!
    Greg

I found the single thread you mention. It seems only a couple of Touring folks are saying they get the chime. The more important post in that thread is Post #6 which I am quoting below. If you live in a place where you need snow tires/wheels, you might as well add to the cost and get the right TPMS sensors installed for safety reasons I suppose.

It seems the information on how to disable the chime has not been posted yet. When you get your set and decide not to install sensors, please do post back to tell us if its just a chime early on or a constant chime all the time.

Trust me it's embarassing to get out of the car and explain to the driver behind me what was going on and that further honking wouldn't get my vehicle to budge and he had to reverse it out to let me escape

Needless to say I have TPMS on my freshly orderered set of winter wheels.
When I use this smilie ===> I am NOT calling you stupid.

The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.

Either I'm the first to try this or there's not much 2011 traffic in this niche section.

We have winter tires & wheels with no TPMS on our 2011 EX-L w/nav and there is no chime or audible noise at all. The only light on the dash is a yellow light that says TPMS. The typical "flat tire" light does not light up either.
