Looks good, Willy. Glad you're happy with the Nissan so far.

I'm still okay with my '01 Ody after four years, but the gizmos are starting to be troublesome (r/s sliding door pull in latch this time) and with rising fuel prices, the in-town fuel economy is starting to get me down. Of course, it still does as well as the Chevy Cavalier it replaced, so coming out ahead on room. Still, I think I'm gonna replace it with an F-150 crewcab in a couple years... The mileage figures are about the same, about the same back seat room, AND a BOX! No more tarp on the carpet to run to the dump.

We just replaced my wife's aged '94 Accord with a new Hyundai Tucson at Thanksgiving (Columbus Day for you guys). Same mileage and she's really happy with it so far. I like it because at 6' tall, I don't have to bend in half to get into it... Pretty peppy for only a 2.0 as well. We will be getting twice yearly fuel cards for the whole fuel economy thing...

Took me awhile to "get used" to the new car... Has that whole curves and edges thing going, kinda like an alien landing craft... but, now it's grown on me. The buying experience was VERY positive... We bought a bottom-of-the-barrel "L" FWD automatic, they didn't even try and talk us into stepping up. LOTS of options on it, too, oddly didn't come with cruise. So far, it feels like a VERY well built car and that's most important-especially with 7 years of payments ahead!

WW, in your Quest, what are the rear windows like? Do the windows in the sliders go down? Are the windows at the 3rd row vents or fixed?

You know what, I am not sure....I wanna say the rear windows are fixed. Now Middle row are power and the kids love it..not so much in January. I really have not had a chance to play with it and there is so much that it does that I am not aware of yet. The other day I was playing with the computer screen and found out that is how I lower the elec powered TV screen. Kinda cool...but on the other hand....One more thing to break.

But the real burning question on everyone's mind is this: "How are the cup holders?"

Cup holders are great....Unlike the Ody and the ones in the tray!! Another cool thing is the 2nd row center console that the kids love....and with one button it just pops out if need be.

What! You mean you can actually set your coffee cup down on the center console, drive, turn corners, stop......and it doesn't vibrate all over, spill on the floor and generally doesn't fit ANY size coffee mug!

    Hell, I'm sold.

Yes, very nice interior. Do either of you have NAV? Is the screen touch-sensitive or is it controlled by that large knob?

No Nav here....do not want it when I can get a Garmin for 100 bucks with lifetime maps. Plus..I dont go anywhere..lolo

I suppose you could buy the console if you wanted to...But it is made to attach to the floor of the quest.

I remember the first time my flaps broke on my cup holder in the Oddy and I went to honda to buy new ones and they told me I had to buy the complete tray.....Idiots....So I came to this great place and found the part number and made them order them for me........I sure am going to miss the knowledge that this place has to offer....You guys need to buy quests

Well, I definitely need to do something, because every time I do this: I get coffee all over the cabin.

In all seriousness, my good friend has a Quest (previous generation), it's very nice. Interior is well designed. Ride is good (except when really loaded). It does get decent mileage, but then again, so does our ODY (nothing like your mileage WW). I'm with you on the NAV, I don't think I'd get it either. Would definitely get the rear screen tho for traveling. Apparently Nissan has done that right by separating the packages.

And it also keeps the drinks warm (a clever integrated coil does the magic)

You should get your own Quest section in the Odyclub, I've seen other minivan forums with specific Odyssey sections... or just create your own forum, something like this:

    - Red Radio Flyer Tricycle (theirs)
