    How to replace Blower Motor

I just had the 2 front strut springs replaced on my 2001 Odyssey. As soon as I start the fan speed from med to high there is a buzzing or whinning sound . I know for a fact that the day I dropped off my van to the dearlership the fan did not make that noise.
Does anyone have "HOW TO" replace blower fan on the van?

    Thanks

    Before you jump to conclusions....

Search this forum and read threads like this...

    Aircon bubbling noise

It is very possible that during the strut\spring job, leaves or other junk fell into the fan housing.

Read the above link, it may be as easy as removing the fan and cleaning it.

I don't know if it is in that thread or not but one person said there were a couple round holes in the shroud over the air intake at the bottom of the windshield. They will allow leaces to get under the shroud and sucked into the blower. Cover them if they are there. Also replace the cabin filter and clean out the area good.

One of the more easier to do

Removing the fan motor on the Ody is easy. Have you changed the cabin air filter before? I'd like to know as it will give me an idea of how familiar you are with stuff found behind the glove box.

I have had to clean leaves out of my blower a couple of times. There are only three screw. (maybe another holding a wiring harness) The rear screw is a bitch to get to. Thin eucalyptus leaves are the worst. Pine needles can also be a problem, but tend to be dryer and grind up. (another reason to change the cabin filter)

Please read the thread mentioned above. It has information and a couple pictures. Also search on Cabin filter as there is a thread with instructions and pictures on changing the cabin filter.
