Just finished my weekend project,

I'm Doubling my Turn Signal Lights (TSL) & Reverse Lights (RL), using Switchback LED.
Let me know what you guys think...

I like the result, especially the double turn signal lights. Definitely increases safety and could prevent a rear end collision. Many half-dazed drivers on the roads these days...

Agreed.....

I like this too. What type of switchbacks did you use? Vitron?
This is the first time I've liked the 11-13 tails over my 14s. :)
I use, switchbacks from iJDMToys:

Here we go....

Doubling my Turn Signal Lights (TSL) & Reverse Lights (RL), using Switchback LED.

Quick info:
Driver Side, TSL cable, Green Color
Passenger Side, TSL cable, Blue Color
Driver and Passenger Side cable, RL, Brown Color
Additional cable that I use, Gray w/ Black Line and Gray

Switchback LED, from iJDMToy
Qty: 2 sets

50 Watts 6oHm Resistors, eBay
Qty: 2 pieces

-T-taps connectors
-Wire Shrink tube
-Electric Tape
ect...

Connect the gray w/black cable to the TSL and connect the gray cable to the male connector:

Run the additional cable though the weather strip, until it close the RL light:

You will need to open your tailgate inside panel and run the additional cable though it.
Sorry, forgot to take picture of this part.

Countinue....

Cut the RL, brown cable, and connect the gray w/black cable to the brown cable that closes to RL light socket

Find the place to mount the resistor.
Per manufacture, resistor will get hot, best to mount it on the metal surface.
I found a good spot for it. (hard to describe, pls see picture)

Connect the one end of the resistor to the ground (negative) connection,
and the other resistor cable, connect it to the gray w/ black wire and to the brown cable the closes to the RL socket bulb
and secured the connection.

Connect the gray cable to the cut brown cable, (not the closes to the socket bulb)
and connect the T-Tap connector

Securing Switchback LED wire

Since the Switchback LED bulb have an additional wire on it and I don't want to pitch it when I put the LED bulb on the tail light housing,
I drill the bulb socket and put 2x wire shrink tube

Mark the bulb socket:

and drill though it:

Did the same with the Reverse bulb socket:

Securing Switchback LED wire part 2

Use small wire shrink tube:
I use double of them

Slide the wire shrink tube and mark the wire (where the shrink tube will stop), please make sure the switchback additional wire is have some slack:

Heat the first shrink tube, then do it one more time:

The second wire shrink tube:

Now, put the wire through the drilled hole:

Make sure the wire is stop (by the shrink tube);

Securing Switchback LED wire part 3

Do the same for the TSL:

Done all four of them:

Switchback LED installed in TSL bulb socket:

Connect the switchback additional wire to the gray cable:

Now, test it and make sure all the light is working correctly...
install back the tailgate panel, and clean up... :)

Let me know if you have any question....
Thank you for stopping by......

Put together with your COB LED third brake light strips, somebody would truly have to endure personal vision problems (like walk with a white cane) to not see you at night.

Nice job.
