This is making a clicking noise under the dash. The two white arms are moving around and making the noise. They are attached to a small black box that says "denso". It is located under the center console under the lower passenger side panel. Any help would be appreciated!!
I wonder if that is the lever that closes the fresh air intake (re-circ) for the inside air. It could be that lever is stuck trying to open or close the re-circ flap.
they're blend doors/valves aka damper doors - they divert air flow in the heat/ac ducts - if you hear them, could be a problem - stuck, vacuum leak etc.
That would explain the passenger side vents blowing warmer air than the driver side even when they are set to the same temp. Really don't want to take it to the dealership to fix, but not sure where else to take it...an auto a/c shop?
Thanks for the responses! Glad to know what it is. Now to figure out how to fix it.
It is the passenger temperature control motor and it just opens a baffle. It cost $125 at the dealer!!!! I removed it and took it apart to see what was inside that could cost so much. Hmmm...I found four small plastic gears and a standard electric motor you would see in a cheap r/c car. No broken teeth on the gears so I removed all the gears and then put them back in, put the module back together and now it seems to work without the pulsing. We will see how long it lasts. Unbelievable what it costs though!!!!
