there are lots of gen1/gen2 lca bushing threads but not much for gen3...

This weekend is going be be go time. I'm going to start with both lower ball joints and inspect the bushings while i'm in there. Also will be doing oil, tranny fluid drain/fill, and TRE inspection this weekend. Possibly plugs too-

Keep us posted. Personally, I think you may have to find a friend with a press for the bushings. I don't think the Jawhorse will do it; it might do it for a non-OEM bushing. The reason I say that is that I've helped or accomplished removal (or installation) of a press-fit bushing into a control arm or a bearing into hub carrier a few times in my life, and the only time I ever had one feel like it "slid right in" was when I purchased non-OEM parts.

The possibility that I might eventually have the bearing housing spin in its carrier really spooked me, so I just removed the part, bought OEM....now I had to find a press, because a mere bench vise wasn't going to cut it. Although I had to do the job twice, I felt a lot better about the whole thing staying put after I pressed in and secured the stub axle.

I think as another person posted that you are better off refreshing the whole control arm with OEM parts if you want to refresh the suspension. Go to Majestic Honda online, and price it on their e-store. They sell it at the extension price and not list. I did that for upper control arms on our '01 Accord about a year ago and the parts were cheaper than Dorman or Mevotec from Advance Auto Parts. If you have a Honda dealership close to you try this, which has saved me tons of $$$. Go on their website for the dealership and see if they have an e-store. I have Joliet Honda (Illinois) within a couple miles of the house. I go on their e-store, purchase OEM parts at the extension price (not list), then call the store and tell them I am local and will be in to pick up the parts within 30 minutes, if they have it in stock. I pay no shipping and get the parts at quite a savings off of OEM list. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Oh savan, I didn't read through to the last post in the thread. I was too late, but for the future, take what I said into account and you may be able to save yourself a considerable amount of $$$.
