Exclamation 2009 Honda Odyssey grinding/scraping noise

I have a problem with my car on acceleration, when I accelerate in low gears, my car makes a grinding/scraping noise (this only happens when in drive). This tends to happen around 2-3k RPM. I think its my catalytic converter heat shield, but i'm not 100%. If anyone can confirm this issue for me instead of spending 60 bucks on a useless diagnosis, it would be wonderful!

    Thanks again odyclub

Heat shields don't grind and scrape, unless they're touching the ground. They are light weight metal, and kind of 'tinkle and crinkle'.

If it's on acceleration, it might be a front axle inner driver. Search the forum.

That said, see if one of your brake rotors is dragging, grinding, and scraping.

Might also be the metal dust shield behind one of the rotors got bent and is rubbing against the rotor. I had this issue recently on my Odyssey. Just had to push it back slightly to avoid the physical contact with the rotor.

How are the front brake pads ? If too thin there's a metal strip that contacts the rotor causing scraping sound.
