It would be nice but I won't hold my breath. At $75 they are unlikely to post them.

My experience with the service manuals is that they are hard to navigate, takes some familiarity.

"This week, I spent $77 ... and a cooling system flush (I was told the cooling system is to be serviced at 48K). I have 24K miles. At the 21K oil change, I had the tranny serviced also and spent $75"

This is a complete waste and doesn't even fall under the "just to be safe" argument. This is 2008 not 1978.

    30000 mile maintenance

While at the dealer today in Upstate NY I asked about the costs of the scheduled maintenance because of this discussion... he said that each of the 30, 60, 90, 120 etc. are considered major an each cost $392. Wow

    60K Service Today

I got the 60K service done today (B2 service). I called the first dealer and they told me it would be $369. They said the service would include ATF, coolant, and brake fluid change.

I knew this was not right after reading the manual and this forum. I had done a brake fluid change in July of last year. The manual says it is called for every 3 years regardless of miles.

I asked why they were recommending something manual didn't call for with B2 service. The service department said Honda recommends they do the extra fluid changes because of the climate we live in.

I then asked about the filter changes the manual recommends. He said the cost did not include those. I figured he would have brought those up after I had brought the van in and already had us on the hook for $369.

In the end I took the van to another dealer. Avoided all the unnecessary fluid changes. Changed the filters myself. Ended up with an oil change and basic inspection and saved a bunch of money.

Love this forum. It is a great help.

    30000 Mile

What did you end up paying for just the oil change & the inspections for your 60,000? Just curious

I recently went to Ohare Honda for an oil change when they were running a special and picked up a card on which they had detailed the charges for each service of the service minder. The service advisor told me that they have done away with mileage based services for new Hondas which have the maintenance minder, this was my only visit to this dealership so I can't judge the truth in this statement.

Anyways the advertised charges for each maintance minder service are:

    A: $29.80

    B: $35.97

    1: $24.50

2: Replace air cleaner element $19.95
Replace dust and pollen filter $69.95
Inspect drive belt (no charge listed, probably free with the filters)

    3: $79.95

    4: Replace platinum plugs (4 cyl) $149.00
Replace timing belt, starting at $397.46

    5: $79.95

    6: $79.95

    Re: 30000 Mile

I think it ended up being $42 for everything. Ordered filters online for about $50. So my entire B2 service ended up being $92.

I thought the ATF was required to be changed at 30K? If not at 30K when are you suppose to have that changed?

ATF changes according to many on these forums and some techs are as frequent as 15K or every other oil change. This is highly recommended for all gen 2 Ody's as they have the worse reliability history. Looks like the 07' on 4 shaft trannies are doing extremely well except for one forum case (youngsinger)....

I just got this A12 on my Van, and it only has 25,000 miles on it, well just over, but should I still get the required items done?
