How to disable window roll-down on remote

I would like to disable the window roll-down function when using the remote key (i.e. hold down the unlock key after the second push). Does anyone know how this is done? thanks for the help.

I don't remember that being a program-able option when reading through the manual. If it is, it'll be in your manual.

Thanks...I checked the manual and nothing noted. Just thought someone in this forum would have figured it out on their own.

I am sure at least one guy had it figured out by going through the wiring diagram to figure out what's what. So hopefully, someone will jump in here and give you the direction of "how-to".

Meanwhile, you may want to just do a search for it as someone may have posted about it already.

My guess would be tight jean or kid syndrome.

Mine takes a couple seconds of hold down on the button before it begins to roll down.

Its my wife who has done this a few times. She keeps holding the button down and then forgets to close the window. Had rain come in once. We do not need this function so I rather disable it.

It sounds like she's trying to press the button more than once to unlock the remainder of the doors, am I correct? If so, try setting the FOB to unlock all doors on a single button press. This is my preferred method.

    Good luck...

Guys, stop judging others and critic them for what they chose to do.......

He simply came in here to ask to see if someone can help him out by disable the remote window control function. Lets just help him with that if we can, and not question why he wants it that way. Everyone is different, and everyone is entitled to pursue what they would like.

It would probably require a re-wire on the computer, or look for the computer's output to the window relays, and break that line.

I don't have a shop manual, or I would look it up for you.

If you want to send me a shop manual, I would look it up for you, but I would want to keep the manual.

I have Helm's 2007 Ody service manuals, and there's nothing in the Body Electrical sections (Keyless locks, power windows) that suggest it's possible to disable this "feature."

The logic is self contained in the "black box" window controller (integrated in to the driver's window control panel) so there's no way to "cut wires" either.

I wonder if just enabling the window locks from the driver's controls would do it.

Happened to me a few times...in a rush or maybe a bit too far so hit the unlock button like a madman and the windows crack open.

Honestly, don't really care for this option and it should be programmable afterall almost everything else is.

I also wish you could tone down the horn when you confirm that the door locks are on. It's pretty loud.

    The Ody still ROCKS!
