Driver A/C warm, pass cool, blend motors both OK?
I'm having a similar problem on a 2006 EXL. The driver side blend door motor is easy to view. It is just above the accelerator and has a green plug. The passenger side is mostly obscured, but you can see the white plastic pieces move as you change the temperature setting on the dashboard control unit. Here is my drivers side motor, with the problem of warm A/C air, at the Lo setting:
I watched the motors work on both the driver and passenger sides. What's interesting is that when changing the temperature setting from Lo to 74, the motors do nothing that I can see. But the vent air does get warmer. Once the temperature is changed from 74 to 75 they make a large movement, and then smaller movements as the temperature setting increases to Hi. I temporarily closed/blocked the passenger side vents to test the theory in a few earlier posts that the cold air is all ejected on the passenger side, but that didn't help.
Testing the sensor inputs shows sensor 5 at C9 and sensor 6 at 03, so I do believe there's a problem with the driver's air mix opening. But since both motors work the same, any ideas where the problem is? Does the motor do more than I can see?
