    Sunroof/Moon roof repair/remove

My wife's 2006 has developed a leak and when I took a look the rubber around the glass in the sunroof is rotted away. I found that I can get the part from my local dealer for $105 but they want another $300+ to put it on. I note there is a service bulletin 05-012 that describes the replacement of the rubber gasket but there are no instructions on how to get the glass out.

Anyone have any information on removing/replacing the glass or sould I bite the bullet and pay out the nose to have the dealer do it?

    Thanks

have you purchased the product yet? If not then contact collegehillshonda if they have the same item and if so purchase from them and ask for instructions. I'm pretty sure they'll help you out.

Or, "better yet", view this as a golden opportunity to justify the purchase of a Honda factory service manual ....

Thanks for the information and advice. I downloaded a service manual from EBay for $7.00 so now I have one on CD!

The window replacement and weatherstrip replacement do not appear to be a big deal - certainly not worth the $300 to $400 the dealer quoted.
