New 2007 owner in North Carolina

    Good morning,

I've only been around a few days and this forum has great info. Yesterday I purchased an 07 with 122k , the owner had all records, did the 105k service . etc. Test drove great, however on the drive home I got the shudder everyone speaks of. I can only assume for now it's the &^%$& motor mount(ridiculously expensive). I will get it over to the dealership later this week. On a personal note I'm an IT manager with over 35 years experience, like fast cars, bowling, camping, golf, NASCAR and beer.

there are lot of different shudders. There's not just one "shudder" that everyone talks about. What trim level is the van? EX? EX-L? Touring? It makes a big difference and will determine the best course of action for finding it and resolving it.

So, yes, the shudder can be anything from wheel balance, axle shafts, torque converter, or motor mounts. You can't assume. You'll need to inspect them and see if they're collapsed.

Congrats on the purchase, but sorry to hear it's not going well so far. It says you're in Nashville but your post says "Northern California" I'm in NorCal too
If it's 4wd, lift it. If it's 2wd, lower it. If it moves, make it faster. If it has wheels, race it. I can't leave anything alone Hidden Content
