But plenty of manufacturers do. Again, it's not just Honda. As they try to squeeze every ounce of fuel economy from these things they add new technology that is not well tested. VCM is one such technology...programming the torque converters can be another.

Well "any" manufacturer that has this issue with their new vehicles is seriously screwing up. If it's not tested properly, don't release it. Having people pay a high price for their new vehicles and then giving them a sub-par product is not acceptable in my opinion.

You're preaching to the choir. We don't design 'em. We just drive 'em and fix 'em.

He actually showed me the official document from Honda.
Just wanted to let you know.
Hmm really? I'm gonna try to drop by my dealership this weekend and ask them what software "update" they did on mine.

Good call. I don't think that it was the tranny update. If they tell you that it was, I think they're lying.

UPDATE **** The transmission shudder went away when the weather got warm. Anything over 10 degrees Celsius, and no more torque converter shudder.

    Anyone else experience this?

I guess this is what the software update is supposed to do to keep the shudder away in the cold winter weather? They said that the software update is related to temperature control, so I guess that makes sense.

So will the transmission update be released in August? Is it confirmed?

The judder is driving me up the wall, especially coasting at 35-40 MPH with the moonroof open. Just disabled VCM, helped a bit but thats probably just in my head.
