    Huge recall of 2011+ Odysseys

Unfortunately, there isn't a whole of information in this release but I just saw it and thought my fellow owners would want to know ASAP. It looks like Honda is recalling a ton of 2011 - 2013 Odyssey's (as well as some Pilots) for problems associated with the improper installation of drivers side airbags.

Hopefully, more information (specific VIN's?) will come out but be advised.

Call your dealer with the VIN number. Mine is on the recall list.

Taking mine in Monday morning. Service department says inspection will be an hour. Hopefully they find no issues. My dealership says they've already inspected about a hundred 2012's without any issues.

I think I just had it up to there about Honda's built in America. Give it back to Japan. They might do better work.

Let me change my comment to, Lets not let "humans" build cars. Some might argue about Japan making recalls as well. Like the toyota stuck gas pedal and such.

Uh oh, better let the wife drive it till we get this fixed.

I do wish they had a vin group listed instead of having to call the dealer

It will be coming soon I guess, like the rest of the recalls and TSBs. I won't call my dealer yet, I bet they don't know or they will come up with something silly

I believe they honor these type of safety recalls regardless of year, mileage or warranty, but not TSBs

^thanks for the TSB, it appears that by using a small mirror, we can check for the missing rivets our self and save a trip to the dealer.

Thanks EE4Life, I guess that is why calling the dealer, they have access to the iN (interactive Network). Do you know how long it takes from issue to be available on the owner link (http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com)?

Applies To: 2011–13 Odyssey – Check the iN VIN status for eligibility
