    Excessive condensation inside the Windshield

Has anyone else experienced excessive condensation from the the inside of the windshield? Its enough condensation that it has actually beaded and can be flicked off. They show up on the bottom left and bottom right of the windshield. No amount of fiddling with the defroster would get rid of it (recirc off, ac on, defrost setting). Here's a video:

Note that the van is at the dealership. I sent them the same video in addition to a couple of pics. I followed up to make sure they received it and they have. I'm already getting the "well, it looks normal but we'll let the tech look at the seals".

I have not had that at all however I live in very dry Colorado. Hoping someone in your area can help with this reply - that really is not normal.

It's definitely not normal. Between my wife and I, we've driven quite a few cars and have never had an issue with moisture inside the windshield. If they tell me its normal, I'll have to ask them if its normal to scrape the inside and outside of the windshield when it gets cold.

Just got the call back and received the dreaded "its normal". A leak test and a visual inspection was performed. They insured the HVAC was running correctly. Found no wet spots anywhere in the van.

Admittedly, we do run "recirc" on 99% of the time on the van. I can understand that that could cause a build up of moisture as the tech/service writer explained but I'm still a little leary about the whole thing. I run recirc on on my car 100% of time in the winter and I've never had dripping droplets of moisture. Anyway, I'll take his suggestion and run "fresh" air most of the time to see if that cures the issue.

I am still interested in hearing back from someone in the East coast as suggested by RiaD'H.

Edit: found this post: 2011 Odyssey Elite has moisture problem on INSIDE of front windshield

Get it off recirc. I never use that because it causes.......... condensation - even here in the drier climate. Give it several goes with this and report back. If the condensation keeps happening -then something else is going on. I only use recirc if I need quick cooling or heating but then shut that off once the temp is okay. You will find that w/out recirc going your temps are more comfortable (esp in summer when using the A/C - you don't get that 'humid' feeling in the vehicle). Of course being in CO I feel even 1% humidity ;-)! Hope this works for you.

I'm with RiaD'H, why are you using recirculated air 99% of the time? Recirculating the air means you're recirculating your own exhaled air, which is full of moisture. Doesn't the owner's manual recommend recirculating air only minimally?

Definitely STOP using recirculating except briefly (2-4 mins at start of day) to improve warmth. That is 99% the likely cause of your problem.
If I'm wrong the your heater matrix has failed.
Running recirc all the time will also increase mold and cause illness.

If you had recirc on up here where it's been -10, your windows would be coated with ice on the inside.

recirc is intended for really hot weather, or when driving past the oil refinery.

I second the notion that recirculation should only be used very sparingly specially in cold or wet weather to minimize fogging. Do you manually turn on the recirc or does the van automatically select recirc and stay on it for 99% of the time?
