Buying 2013 EXL - Difference between vin code 64D and 67D?
Dealer has several identical vehicles ('13 EXL Silver over Truffle) and after signing the deal this AM, noticed the vehicle listed on the sales sheet is a different (older) stock number than the one we had been looking at. While I get they likely try to sell the oldest stock first due to floorplan financing rates etc, the VINs are slightly different (beyond the last six) and wondering whether I should care about that. Feel great about the deal we're getting both on new one and our '05 EXL tradein but just want to put my mind at ease. Van has 28mi on the odometer.
5FNRL5H67DB029202 is likely the older vehicle......based on last 6 typically being sequential (I didn't get a build date off either of them).
5FNLR5H64DB085243 is the newer vehicle.
Anyone familiar with these differences. The other odd thing is the MSRP showing on the dealer website is $35,955 for the older one and $36,055 for the newer one. Likely just a pricing change from Honda but also prompted me to ask what might be different.
Have a call in to the salesman......but have low expectations that he'll know anything.
