    Multiplex Control Unit Test

I'm having some funky elecrical problems ( inoperative power door locks, malfunctioning driver master window control, malfunctioning entry lights) on my 02 EX-L NAVI that may or not be coincidental and may or may not be the result of me draining my battery the other night. But I've got a strong feeling that I may have a bad or "sleeping" Multiplex control unit.

Anyway, I've got the Honda service manual and it has a series of tests that I can perform to see if one of the three Multiplexers are sleeping or bad, but it calls for the use of a special tool refered to as a "SCS service connector 07waz-001010A". The diagram looks like a connector that will simply short out a multiplex control inspection connector under the dash.

Does any one know if this is the case. Can I just crimp together a jumper wire and short out the inspection connector? Or does this "tool" do something more and I have to aquire it from a dealer?

    Any input would be appreciated.

So, did you ever find the problem? I'm trying to find out what the problem is with my door locks. They don't work like you state with yours and I wanted to know if I had ruined the MCU somehow when I installed my remote start unit? I may have tapped on the wrong wiring for the door locks, and now they don't work. Door lock switches won't operate any of the doors, except the left sliding door. Doesn't matter if I'm locking or unlocking the with the switch, the left slider door will try and lock. Factory alarm won't operate because of it as well.
Can you or anyone else help out on this one?
Also, can someone give me the right wires to use to make the power doors work. I looked in the forum and found that I was supposed to use a the thick white/red wire, and I ended up using the thinner white/red wire instead. It worked for a little bit, and it quit working after 10 min. Another thing, do I need to just use a negative trigger or do I need to set up a relay to send +12 Vdc to that wire? I'm thinking that may have been the problem to begin with.

    Thanks in advance.
