Search on rear vent window problem. It is well documented. Seems to happen to most vans. There is a survey in this forum and about 50% responded with problems.

I have an 03 and they are dying. Sometimes they work, sometimes they dont.

High probability that the bearings in the motors are shot. Not sure if this is prolonging the life of the motors but, I periodically will lube the motors. So far so good. One does squeal slightly, but they both still work. Here are the updated part #s for the motors:

    "Squealing From Rear Quarter Windows
On 9903 Odysseys, a bad bearing in the quarter
window motor can cause some nasty squealing
when the rear quarter windows are opened or
closed. To silence the squeal, replace the affected
quarter window motor. Order these parts:
    Left Opener: P/N 73570-S0X-A02
    H/C 6789549
    Right Opener: P/N 73520-S0X-A02
    H/C 6789531"

They cost about $60 ea. and will take a couple of hours to install yourself. The passenger side takes more time.

This simple fix may work also: check the fuses for the rear window motors.

    Passenger's Under-dash Fuse/Relay Box: Fuses #7 (7.5A) and #16 (7.5A) for the left and right motors respectively.

My van has a lock button to override all window usage in the vehicle. If this is locked... I can't use the back windows?

Please note that the windows being referred to in this thread are the quarter windows in the third row on a 1999-2004 Odyssey. Your 2008 has a different setup and are in the second row. Suggest you repost to a different thread in the 05+ Odyssey section to better answer your question. At least I think you are asking a question?
