Your's is the real deal...it actually pulls in air from near the stock location, but in a less restrictive fashion (that is the goal in the first place). I hardly drive in a fashion where the faster throttle response helps me (I drive like grandma), but once in a while I feed in full throttle and keep it there, and given how big the throttle body is, a little less restriction upstream is helpful. One or two horsepower can make the difference between merging ahead of that semi or not.
