Question Jammed power sliding door on EX model

Passenger side sliding door is jammed, inside and outside handles both ineffective, lock slider jammed in unlock position and cannot be moved into lock position even with major pressure. Door is therefore stuck shut and inoperable. No warning lights or controller diagnostics. Anybody seen anything similar??

Hi JoeG,

let's start with some dumb questions. does it beep when you pull on the handle? what happens when you push the driver's lock/unlock button up/down? what about the sliding door on/off switch on the dash? any blown fuse?

Should have included that info to begin with. The other door is fully functional and not disabled via the dash switch. No beeping, and no reaction to the power lock unlock function. The jammed door is simply completely inert while the other door functions normally.

About two weeks ago, we were visiting my grandmother out in the middle of Kansas and our passenger slider just quit working. It seems that my wife pulled on the handle at the same time that I pushed the open button on the dash and the door just stopped. Unlike your problem. the manual mode worked fine, the drivers side door worked fine (auto mode), it was just the passengers door (auto mode) was not working. I ended up opening and closing the door manually a couple of times but to no avail. I had done the all gear/dual slider modification a couple of months before and thought that maybe it had caused some sort of short in the electrical panel. Closed the door, drove to the nearest Wal-mart to finish our outing and it started to work again. The only thing I can think of was that I had somehow reset/retrained it by opening and closing it a couple of times. Hasn't happened again sense, (knock on wood).
