EX-L RES and AUX

Thanks for bearing with me--my "search" didn't completely address my questions.

We love our new Ody, particularly the versatility. I'm looking to attach a secondary AUX input somewhere on the front console (either L/R aux or headphone jack type) for a portable MP3 player or Sirius Starmate. Here are my questions:

1. Has anyone done a splice from the AUX line going to the 3rd row?
2. Have there been any issues with interference or noise?
3. Where did you make the splice? (i.e. at the AUX box in the 3rd row, behind the console itself, etc.)
4. Does anyone have a wiring diagram depicting the path and color of the wires going back to the AUX jack in the 3rd row?

I'm hoping to make something somewhat more permanent than just running AUX cables from the 3rd row jack back forward, and allow the plugging (but not usage) of more than one system at a time. While functional, the FM transmitter with the Starmate is nowhere near the quality of a direct connection. Thanks for looking and for contributing to such a great site!

Look down a few posts.

I did what I think you are asking about. On the Poor Man's Ipod thread, I wired an RCA cable to the circuit board on the rear AUX control and ran the wire up front. I made an AUX hook-up with RCA's from Radio Shack. Everything works great and there is no noise coming from the system. Hopefully this helps.

Exactly...

...what I'm looking for. Thanks for the input. I was just hoping to splice somewhere further "downstream" to keep from running another set of wires from back to front, but not having to cut the existing wires or doing so directly at the junction may be the best bet. I'm glad there's no issue with interference! Thanks again!
