I have an '02 Ody that has started "whistling" at highway speeds. It is always at 60+ MPH and sounds like the same whistling noise that is made by blowing across the top of a pop bottle. The noise stops when drafting another vehicle. It also stops when it rains. (Go figure). I have racked my brain and cannot figure out what is causing this noise. It sounds like it is coming from the area of the side mirrors or the front wheel well area. Hard to tell for sure. Opening the windows does not change the noise.

Anyone else had this experience? It is very annoying and I would love to find the source and fix it.

Mine was the window run channel. But because yours seems to not be related, then perhaps the fit of the door or the rubber. We had one member actually bend the upper part of the door in. (with the window down) There have also been 99-04 vans that needed windshield moulding glued down

Now I can post a reply. I created a new account and it wouldn't let me reply to an existing message, must've needed to catch up and update. Anyway, I have this exact same issue. Doesn't seem to come from the windshield or antanae or side mirror, but yet sound comes from passenger side. Seems like down by door speaker. Ody.Gator did you ever get anywhere on resolving this? It's driving me nutz and makes me feel like I bought a Dodge or Ford.

I have an 03 Ody and took care of that very same problem by caulking the outer edge of the windshield moulding down where it meets the body. I guess the moulding was playing like a harmonica on the metal body.
