At 88K mile our Ody 2002 needs new transmission. First, I was given a $4100 quote to fix it.
As it was regularly services at our Honda Dealer and I started crying... the price went down to $1600 for remanufactured transmission. (Ammco quoted $1900 to rebuild).

I took the car home to think about it and contacted Honda HQ.

Reading all the posts here and stories about free replacements I am seeking advice on how to get Honda to take responsibility and fix my car for free.
Does anyone know if Honda has a clear policy on 2002 transmissions or is that that you get it for free only if you scream loud enough?

Screaming is not the way. You need to be calm. Tell them how disappointed you are in the product. Tell them you have had many previous Hondas. Try crying. It works for my passive aggressive sister-in-law.
