I think that means the oil jets is seated "flush"...not that it was "flushed".

Today I faxed my Service Receipts with a letter. My case handling person got into sick and don't know when case manager back. Somebody from Honda asked to wait for 2 or 3 days to decide. I waited so long to get answer from Honda the "Tran-mission Change " expense covered by Honda or Not.

I have faxed the below things
1) Letter req. for help
2) Warranty Extension : EGR Valve (Letter telling warranty ext. to 8 Years/80,000 Miles)
3) Honda Owner Link - Recalls.
4) Service Receipts for Transmission Fluid Change. But I don't know it helps !

After I faxed then I went to Honda Dealer and asked for the my Van Report. They gave me a paper and asked to change Transmission. No clear details what they are going to change? !!! They told the expenses will be around 4035.95 + Tax.
I waiting patiently. Both Honda and Honda Dealers are not treating the customer's or Consumers in proper way.

Today, I received a cal from Honda and telling Honda will cover 40% only. The Honda Dealer asked me to pay $2,600 and $1700 from Honda. I took my van from Honda Dealer and gave my van to private shop for second opinion. Still I am waiting. But I am really not happy with honda. Waste Honda took long time to decide and paying also very less. If Manufacture Defect Engine then Honda have to take care. Next I am not going to Buy Any Honda. Good Reputation I saw from Honda.

The Honda dealer told 40% - Honda will cover and 60 % on me. Honda Dealer gave the figure as below
Honda Paying --> 1614.00
I am paying --> 2566.00
But when I speaking with my case manger Honda going to give 2,000.

If I decide to go with Honda. What are all thing to I have to take care? The Honda case manager not giving any detail info. what part going to cover and clearly try to fool. If I ask him to send a copy of parts coverage and money which Honda are going give? Don't know case manger will do or not. I didn't find any difference between Honda and Honda Dealer. Both of them try to fool customer. If anybody had previous experience then help me out.

You are putting too much thought into it. The decision is simple. If you want the $2000 American Honda is offering, then you have to take it to the dealer. If not, you can go to an independent shop.

They replace the whole transmission with a rebuilt one. If you decide to do the Honda deal, tell the dealer that the Honda rep told you Honda will pay $2000. Also tell the rep that the dealer is saying that Honda is only going to pay $1614 but you are saying $2000 so you want to go to a different dealer and get your car fixed at another dealer as this one seems a bit shady.

Also, if you go independent, you only get 12 months/12K miles warranty but Honda will give you 36 months/36K miles.
