Kandiah, Sorry to hear that you are still struggling with this. Good news is (if you can trust the CSRs) this promotion goes on until March, so you have plenty of time to call them!

This particular promotion shows up in my account as "GM Winback Special 1 Year MYP". That shows it has nothing to do with a Honda-subsidized promo.

It could be that Kandiah and me both have just started the three month period. Mine started Dec 1 and Kandiah;s on 24 Nov. That could be one of the reasons. If somebody who got the van AFTER us gets it then I am going to get upset with XM

Wow! Thanks for info. I just called though and was told that if he added it to my vehicle, at the end of the day the computer would see that two promotions were on the same unit and would automatically delete the most recently added one. And if that happened, I wouldn't be able to add the same promo. later. He said to call on the end-date of my current 3-mo. promo. to add it, which will be Feb. 11.

Just called to try and get the $60 year promo. The rep said that my free trial started on Dec.11 (we actually bought the vehicle on Dec. 8th). She said that we could not start the year deal till March 11th, or we could start it immediately but forfeit the 3 free months. When I asked her about hearing that other people were getting this deal before the 3 month expiration - she said that now a lot of people's XM's are freezing up - because they got the deal too early. Is that true with any of you who have gotten this deal already? Just wanted to know if I should keep trying....

My XM is not frozen, it is quite warm when the heater runs...

I got the $60 deal while I was still in my 2nd month of the ownership. I was told (twice) that my 3-mo free is still "free", and the $60/year deal will start AFTER the trial period is over.

OK, now I'm TOTALLY convinced that some of the XM reps make it up as they go! I bet at the end of the day they compare stories and the most outrageous gets the first drink free!

I just got a letter from XM and a bill stating that my free 3 months runs out on Jan 29th so if I want to continue service for another 3 months send them 30-some odd dollars. Ummm no thanks. Not when an entire year is $60!

I still want Sirius though, it is SO MUCH better than XM when it comes to music selection...

I just received mail from XM today regarding extending my service for $9.99 a month. I called the telephone number on the letter and spoke to an XM agent who new nothing about the $60/year promotion. I hung up with him and called the number listed in the previous post. This agent knew exactly what I was talking about and we sealed the deal in two minutes. Be careful who you talk to...

I would like to get this deal. What is the right number to call? I called and they said no way. I do miss my Sirius from my PASSAT. This is what satellites are for. Music and TV. I had such high hopes for that Star Wars stuff. What happened?
