OdyClub Rookie

Hello to all! Like others who had vowed "never" to have a minivan in our garage, my wife and I find ourselves proud new owners of an '07 Odyssey.

We developed a desire to upgrade our 4Runner for a family hauler (2-yr. old twins, parents, in-laws, etc.) with added conveniences, safety features, and more space. We had actually narrowed our search down to a Sienna LE-8 or Lexus GX470 for the eight passenger capacity and overall positive ownership experiences with our other Toyota products. (I'll post more on what changed our minds about our original choices, and our buying experience in the appropriate forums.) After ruling out the GX470, I thought to bring my wife to a nearby Honda dealer for a final opportunity to compare the Sienna to the Pilot (SUV bias) and Odyssey. Needless to say, we left the dealership that afternoon in a Nimbus Gray EX-L R&N!

I now look forward to learning about and sharing more with others through this Odyssey-owners community.

P.S. The Odyssey was intended as a replacement to the 4Runner as my daily commuter ride. However, my wife and I have been alternating ever since we bought it, so she can drive it every other day!
