Honda ATF-Z1 at Carquest

I found out from someone on Hondasuv.com that Carquest has started selling actual Honda AFT-Z1 automatic transmission fluid. Apparently the Carquest company bought another company named WPC which was an import parts warehouse. And one of their many products stored there is true Honda ATF-Z1. I went down yesterday and gave the local Carquest guys the product # which is 'WPC Z800188443OES' and they ordered a case and sure enough it is the actual bottles from Honda. My cost was $5.75 per quart which undercuts my nearest honda place by more than $2 per quart. I also now only have to drive 2 miles instead of 45 miles. Very cool for me.

I would be curious as to what your local Honda dealer is asking for a quart of ATF-Z1 as well as the Carquest.

I'll get from carquest... I wouldn't trust that dealership to check the air in my tires so I don't go there if I can help it

Picked up 2 cases at $4.95 a quart at local CarQuest. The two closest stealers wanted $10 and $8 a quart.
thanks for the great info!

My invoice has:
WPS Z8001-88443OES
Honda A/T FLUID

When I called the store to inquire, I also try to give them the part number, but the guy asked me what it was. When I said Honda ATF, he said, oh yeah, I got 32 bottles right here. So in my case the store carried it in stock.
I aslo saw a booklet on the counter, that indicated that they carry many manufacturer's fluids (Toyota, MB, Honda, GM, etc...)
good luck,
Max

I figured if you are going to buy from the store in Cheshire, I suggest you call ahead. They dont have a large operation, so if they dont have it in stock they have to special order for you. Just trying to save you a trip.
Their phone number is 203-272-3525 (Scully's Automotive LLC)
1076 South Main street, Cheshire
