2007 Touring with 80k miles. Installed the vcm muzzler lately and it improved fuel economy, go figure... At 70mph with the wife and 3 kids I get a constant 27.5-28 mpg on a 200 miles trip (Montreal to Quebec city) no difference either way. I used to get 24mpg before the vcm delete.

I did a test once driving the entire trip at 65 and I got 31 mpg, I'm really impressed with that. It's a different story when driving in the city though, almost doubles the fuel needed and I'm not hard on gas pedal.

2004 LX with 190,000 miles on her. Load of upgrades, everything from stereo to headlights. Stock engine and airbox, high output alternator, transmission cooler, and oil bypass filter.

San Diego to Seattle averaged 24mpg with 6 people in the vehicle plus luggage for a week and a cooler for snacks and drinks. I think we averaged about 70 for the entire trip due to me slowing down once we hit Oregon and Washington.

On two separate road trips (numerous tanks) I had two fill ups which I found above the curve. One was 740 km and the other 720km (462 and 450 miles) respectfully with a gallon of two left in the tank. One was highway at 100km/hr while the other was interstate at 70mph. Not too shabby.

Interesting and informative thread. My 07 exl Ody is a real work horse. We flat tow behind motor homes and trucks to destinations all over the US. so fuel mileage is important for us to keep track of. 25.5 over all with very little deviation from that.

Last summer, I did a drive from just outside Washington DC to just before Newark NJ. I cruise controlled at 65 and drove behind other cars or trucks when I could and mustered out 34.5mpg. I made sure to fill up the tank first and calculated the miles I drove and how many gallons I filled up in NJ.

Just got back from a 3K mile road trip in our 2004 Honda Odyssey EX-Res with 277000 miles. In total their where 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids plus a weeks worth of gear and food. We traveled from Washington State to California. Driving included freeways ranging in speed between 65-80mph, dreaded San Francisco traffic and highway 101 which was a beautiful drive. Saw all the redwood state and national parks, Muir Woods, Crater Lake, NASA and several other smaller historic parks in and around San Francisco. Drove over 900 miles on the drive home that included 5 states. Averaged 23 MPG on the way home and averaged 21 MPG over the entire trip.

On my trip to Yellowstone National Park which I took by myself and included camping gear for 12 days I got between 23-24 mpg on my way their and back which included highway speeds of over 80 mph.

October 1, 2018 trip from Calgary, Alberta to Vancouver BC

    971 kms @ 8.3 L/100 km

    ~ 28.3 mpg

Had 1 passenger, a set of winter tires on rims, and 3 boxes of hockey cards.

Vehicle has 197k KM on it (~120K mi).

VCM was frequently activated, and I didn't notice a single issue with it!

Just did a run from CT to FL in September. Approx 1300 miles, van was loaded pretty good. 2018 EX with approx. 8000 on the odometer.
Got 27.3 mpg. Used cruise whenever I could. I'm happy with that result.
