    CPO Verification

    Hi everyone. I recently purchased a 2016 Honda Odyssey EX-L that was Honda Certified Pre-Owned. I looked through the stack of papers that the Honda dealer sent home with me, but don't see anything identifying the vehicle as CPO. I contacted the dealer and my salesman said the VIN was entered into the Honda CPO database, and that's how the vehicle is identified as being CPO and being covered for warranty issues if I went to any Honda dealer. It all seemed pretty informal to me and thought that Honda would provide some notification or some type of paperwork would be done around the CPO that I would get a copy of. For any of you that have purchased a CPO vehicle from Honda, is that how it worked for you? Thanks for your insight.

    On 3/30/19 I purchased a CPO 2016 Odyssey EXL. The same day I picked up the car I received an email from American Honda with subject line "Welcome to the Honda family!" It contained the carfax report, 182 point inspection report and warranty booklet. I was surprised this email came so quickly and the same day I picked up the car on a Saturday.
    Try logging into the Honda owners website with your Odyssey Vin and see what it shows there.
