Insufficient EGR valve lift and forth clutch trans fluid pressure switch failure?

Today my 02 odyssey with 90k miles threw codes p1491 and p1740 at the same time. Check engine light came on along with the TCS light. P1491 being insufficient EGR Valve lift and p1740 being forth clutch trans fluid pressure switch failure. Does anyone know why these codes would be thrown at the same time?

4th clutch pressure switches are known to go, just have to replace it.

The EGR issue had a service bulletin on it, usually the valve gets replaced.

It's just coincidence that the two codes appeared at the same time.
