Really? I thought they switched to the new transmission in 2007 and used that onward from there - did they make more tweaks between 2007 and 2008?
RIP: 2001 Odyssey EX 235K miles, 77K miles on the 1st transmission, 30K on the 2nd, 128K on the third (engine still ran great), Dextron III ATF with Lubegard Friction Modifier (black bottle) - sent to junkyard due to failed transmission.

2007 Odyssey EX-L NAV RES, 174K miles, purchased October 2017, also now using Dex III with Lubegard Black

Did this work out okay? I got the code last week on my wife's car, and swapped out the pressure switch. Seems to have fixed the issue. However, I was talking to a mechanic the other day, and without mentioning the vehicle (just the CEL and blinking "D") he said "Oh, you got a Honda. You'll be doing a complete rebuild in six months". Hoping he was just talking out his butt, though I'm wondering if there is possibly more to the issue than just a bad switch.

If you change the switch and it takes care of the issue and the car is otherwise driving fine, I would not worry about it. I change 3 and 4 on one of my Odys and all is well. Continue to keep up with regular ATF changes and that will help a lot.

Reassuring to hear. I changed the fluid last year (love the drain plug!), and will definitely keep up on it. Thanks!
