    DIY: Front Brake Job

Tired of OEM rotors warping? Can't stand the shimmy when braking?

Keep calm, watch these videos, and get to work lol

Centric rotors and akebono pads are the best combo for the odysseys. I also changed my brake fluid to DOT 4 fluid to increase the boiling point of the brake fluid.

Everything is listed in the descriptions of the videos.

    very nice videos!

Only think you might want to add - you'll want to clean up the surface on the caliper bracket under the old hardware if you live somewhere they use road salts (used to be an issue for me, but not so much nowadays in NM!) - I find that it's a bit easier to access/do that if you remove the caliper bracket as well (as you show in the rotor replacement video). There are seemingly two schools of thought (maybe three?) with greasing the caliper bracket and pad ears - some folks grease the pad ears, and some folks grease under the hardware (and some do both!) - I have always done as your video shows, though, and grease the pad ears. I also grease the ears on the caliper and the surface of the pistons on the caliper (unless the pads come with a rubberized shim and don't require it)

Wow, clean brake components! I remove and paint mine yearly just to keep them pretty and deglaze the pads!
