Ody Coolant warm up time. Is this normal ?

Not worried about the heater or the cabin temp.

Looking at the ody temp gauge which measures coolant temp

It takes about 8 mins and 5 miles to get the coolant up to temp. Is this roughly how long it takes people's temp gauge to hit normal temp, or is this slow? Driving speed 40-50 MPH, whenever I had to stop I took a picture. Time stamps are from the photos, data is from the dashboard gauges.

    Outside temp 26F

    6.0 miles
temp gauge = normal temp, got to normal about 5 miles.

2018 Ody, 30K miles. Has behaved like this since new. Highway mileage goes down a lot in winter vs summer (24 vs 27).

The small difference in mileage between winter/summer has to more to do with the fuel companies changing blends. It's also good measure to check your tire pressure more often during the winter.

Cool. TY Shrimpmonkey. Appreciate knowing yours heats up about the same. My '05 heated up substantially sooner, and did not have active shutters to keep the cold air out.

Silverctr: Not only does fuel change in winter but air is denser leading to lower MPG. The Ody's maint panel makes checking air pressure too easy - no one should have low air pressure in tires.
