I called Helm and they said no printing of this manual is anticipated. I think that sucks because I do get benefit from the purchase of this product. I had it in the vehicle once and had some issues and it was nice to pull it out and show the non Honda garage mechanic something that correlated with what he thought he should do.

So if they are not going to print it, will it be available in some other format?

What do the Honda dealers use then?

Has anyone purchased the actual Honda Service Manual for the 2014 Ody yet? I know the are not cheap but are really the best. I had one for my TL and it was money well spent when I worked on my car.

I can't determine that they printed one for 2013, everything indicates that they didn't. If I had to guess it looks the end of these being made available to the average person. Just wondering are there any viable alternatives? I found it handy once in a while and while it wasn't used much when it was, it was a money and time saver. I assume that the mechanic would have a digital copy subscription type service that they access. I always sell my vehicles my self and each buyer has purchased these along with the vehicle.

I'm going to call Helm and see what the scoop is. I would really like to get one for our 2014 Ody.

Ok. I called Helm Inc this morning and here is what I was told. They have available service manuals through 2012. American Honda has not released the information to Helm for the 2013 or 2014 service manuals.

So next I called American Honda @ 800-999-1009, option 7; I was told access to a 2013 or 2014 service manual is through the website: estore.honda.com/service-express/subscriptions.asp. The cost is $10/day, $50 for 30 days or $350 for one year.

If we, as Honda Odyssey owners call American Honda and complain, then perhaps they will release the information to Helm. But if no one calls they will assume that owners don't care. So the solution is to CALL American Honda and ask them to release the information to Helm!!

I hope we get a good response.

I called Honda and the lady who answered was clueless but would document my concerns. She kept insisting I wanted a owners manual and I had to repeat service manual several times. Thank you lead foot great idea.

I think its going to be numbers. The more of us who call in and ask, the more likely Honda will finally relent and let us get the service manuals.

Lack of numbers here doesn't bode well, but I'll call them too. Was trying to figure out why I couldn't find the 2014 manual on Helm, this explains it :(

I'm going to try the on-line service one of these days and see what can be downloaded/saved for future use.

I hope I'll be able to get a semblance of a full Service Manual. Otherwise I'll have to buy a 2012 manual and hope for the best, knowing there have been some changes.

What this means is that Honda/Acura are now much lower on our list of vehicles to look at when replacing another vehicle in a couple of years. And, of course, I plan to share this with my friends too. Sorry Honda; you could fix this very easily but chose to mislead me (and possibly others) by printing information in the Owner's Manual which indicated we COULD get Service Manuals. That is simply wrong.
