Anyone have any issues with their phones connecting to the car via bluetooth? I am having sproadic issues where the phone will not connect or worse, the phone will connect and mid conversation disconnect and re-connect. This doesn't happen all the time and when I turn off the car and re-start it all seems to fix itself.

this is common, i have a galaxy 4 and had a 3. same thing. sometimes a reboot of the phone helps. or killing all apps. I have regressed the connection amid all variety of initial states and intermediate states of apps and settings. I can find zero commonality for why it stays solid a lot of times and disconnects intermittently some of the time.

happens with pandora and phone calls.

good things? it stops after several times if you can be patient, and....i am getting a galaxy 6 in a few weeks and hope it is better....

We've never had any problems until we upgraded to iPhone 6. Both phones connect and disconnect on almost every call. Never an issue before with iPhone 5 or 5s.

Not sure who to call to complain. Apple will say to update to their latest iOS which we did and then blame the OEM. Honda will not issue any firmware updates.

We have a '12 EXL no-nav model...

so i have a new galaxy s6 and the connectivity is worse than the s4 i just moved from. BUT.....

I have a partial solution....

If you go into the bluetooh settings for the HandsFreeLink and Turn Off the Phone Audio part then the Media Audio stays connected perfectly well.

Before turning the Phone Connection off you can see it continuously cycle connecting and disconnecting.

So it appears there is a problem with just the phone connectivity.

This isn't a real solution yet because the phone part isn't worky.

but at least the pandora will stay on and then i just use earbuds for the phone anyway. which is actually my preferred phone calling method anyway but it would be useful to occasionally take a quick call via the bluetooth.

it is important to note that internet search suggest this isn't a particular model of android and even some iPhones have the issue.

I think it is a particular App which is causing the issue but i don't know which one to even begin to try to kill or uninstall....

2011 Odyssey EX bluetooth issues

set up and worked fine for 3 years with Sony Xperia (android 2.3.4) and Samsung Galaxy S2 (android4.1.2) then replaced with One Plus One (android 5.1.1) also no problems until one month ago. Then started getting repeated bluetooth disconnects. same with Galaxy s2.
Reactivated Sony Xperia and it still has solid bluetooth connection

Problem is related to the bluetooth PBap (bluetooth access protocol service) When this is manually forced to stop bluetooth connection is solid.
Suspect android system updates have made this service no longer compatible with the Odyssey Handsfree.
Downloaded the Bluetooth Phonebook app from the playstore. (it replaces the default PBap)
All three phones now back to normal bluetooth connection.

Hope this helps

We as well have a 2012 EX-L RES, but the iPhone's will pair and stay connected permanently, however my issue is the song info not playing while being paired via Bluetooth. This is such a disadvantage to us. Hope your problem has been corrected since your post

unfortunately, no. The problem still exists. I'm going to try downloading the bluetooth phone app from the play store as suggested above.

I have constant issues with the overall bluetooth performance with my Galaxy S6. My Moto X Gen 2 worked perfect.

My wife has the same issue with her 2014 Cadillac CTS and her S6.

I found that going into the application manager and clearing the cache in the bluetooth app fixes the problem.

Be glad your Moto X Gen 2 works perfect!!! Bluetooth disconnects are a common problem with them! Motorola knows about it but has not came up with a fix yet. Mine disconnects all the time and if have to go in a set it up again. Otherwise I love the phone!!!
