I want to mention to the poster from before that the Sienna isn't cold either. My 06 Caravan has freezing cold AC but no vents in the back so it doesn't help those back there much. My SIL Sienna never gets to "cold" and definitely have issues even in the front.

I agree. I am not happy about the new air vent design on the 2nd and 3rd rows of the 2018 Odyssey. The ceiling vents were on my 2005, 2011, 2013 and 2015. I was very much in love with many aspects of the 2018 until I saw the ac vent design change. I live in Georgia and also lived in Texas with my Odyssey. I have never had a problem with cooling off my van with the AC. I will state that the ceiling design is better because the directional adjustment as well as being up high where heat rises. Why did Honda have to change this design?! :(

The new vents next to door handle is a poor design. The middle passenger has no outlet. And if there is a rear facing car seat, it blows air to the car seat than onto to the kid. Pathetic design.

Got our 2018 EXL just yesterday. Drove it this evening with 8 people in it and the jump seat had our 6 month old baby in car seat. He was crying and noticed that he was hot. Actually had to take him out of the seat to calm him down because he was crying and was so warm. Not real happy about this. Also a disappointment after moving from a 2016 Suburban to the ODY is that the Suburban has recessed led lighting for the passengers. This allows the driver to not be bothered if the overhead lights are on while driving at night. No such luck with the new ODY.

So ya this sucks. We purchased a new EXL RES and my son sitting rear facing is taken out of the van almost every day now that its summer in FL sweaty. Also anyone notice there are no speakers in the back. Our old 2005 had speakers in the back. My oldest son who sits in the third row can barely hear the sound coming from tv because the third row has no speakers. its fine he can use the headphones but we never seem to use them.

YEah, that was one of the big complaints on the 2011-2017 gen Odysseys - no speakers in the rear. It's such a killer. My kids won't let me purchase another minivan without speakers in the 3rd row, they are MAD that there are no speakers in the back. I can't understand what Honda is thinking? Why didn't they rectify this issue is beyond me.

Speaker placement for Elite:

There are only two tweeters, in the A-pillar; each row gets a pair of full-range speakers; there are two center speakers, one on dash used for navigation, and one next to the RES screen; there is one subwoofer in the cargo area on the opposite side of the vacuum. All other trims get seven speakers, I didn't look for them when I test drove an EX-L, but here is an educated guess: two tweeters up front, 1st and 2nd row each gets a pair of full-range speakers, plus a subwoofer in the cargo area.
