I've got oil on my transmission, and it's definitely oil. Have you checked the leaky fluid on a white paper towel or piece of paper? If it is pinkish/redish, than it's tranny fluid, but if it's black/brown than it's engine oil (or seriously nasty tranny fluid).

From my little research for my oil leak, I think it may be either the rear seal, or simply leftover oil from a recent oil change and/or from leaky valve covers which were redone before I bought the van.

I had a leak in the same area on my 2006 EX-L that had 92k miles at the time. It was a bad leak dropping oil on the garage floor that started after my wife took the car to a 5-minute oil change place that put in a lower (thinner) grade of oil. I immediately changed the oil to the proper grade of high-mileage oil and also added a qt. of Bars rear main seal repair.

This slowed the leak, but it continued to drip a few drops of oil on the floor for about the next 6,000 miles, but it has now stopped altogether. I now use a synthetic blend high mileage oil and add a quart of Bars and it's all dry now.
