Anyone have information on a Bluetooth or system update? My iPhone 7 continues to cut out on music, podcasts and audible books...sometimes it will work for 20 minutes other times it cuts out every 15 seconds....Dealership has no idea about an update :(
We drove to the Grand Canyon last week which is about a 5 hr drive and had my iPhone bluetooth to a Chevy Cruze....never dropped out once!

Thanks!

Jim

The dealership told us to keep checking Honda HandsFreeLink | Bluetooth Connectivity for Honda Cars and wait until our Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8 gets added to the compatible phones list. Seems ridiculous that it wouldn't just work right away though.

Of course it wasn't there when I checked a few days ago, but it is now! Still not working unless there's a new update that I haven't received yet.

I have the iPhone 7 and I have not had it cut out but I have had it stutter from time to time. I took to dealer and they ran diagnostics and contacted Honda. I was told it's a known problem and working on a fix, this was 2 months ago.

My work around is to turn off the entertainment system and turn back on, seems to clear the stuttering. Seems to happen more often if the RES is in use.

Same problems with my Google Pixel XL. It gets frustrating sometimes. My fix is to restart my phone and that fixes it for a while.

Yes our RES EXL paired with my IPhone 7 cuts in and out every couple second. Going to see the dealer tomorrow along with my passenger side not opening.

It has some issues with iPhone music streaming, works fine with Android, checked same song
setting-General-Accessibility-Call Audio Routing-select Bluetooth Headset this setting may reduce the intermittent stopage

My earlier 16 Odyssey did not have this issue
sometimes i feel 2018 model, Honda did not carry the best things from previous model.. there are many which they missed...

The Bluetooth problem is not limited to Apple devices. Android phones have experienced similar problems in my van on the few occasions when they were not plugged in. At least for me though the issue is limited to A2DP (the BT profile used for "high quality" audio playback), while HFP (the BT profile used for voice calls) is not affected - I have been on Marathon conference calls in my van and it never dropped a beat. When plugged in, however, this is a non-issue because audio output from Google Play Music, Amazon Music, Spotify etc. is delivered to the head unit over the USB cable through Android Auto, and it relies on BT for voice calls only. The only Apple device I have is ancient, so I cannot test it; but I wouldn't be surprised that if you play music through CarPlay you will get around the BT problem and likely have better audio quality as well.
