Radio Off With Stop Button

Odyssey forum,

When I hit the stop button the radio stays on
until I open the driver's door. I understand
the reasoning behind this but I would like it
to go off when hitting the stop button. I searched
the manual and this forum but didn't see a setting
to turn this feature off.

It gets worse. I've often gone into the house and found my cell phone still paired to the van. When I go out I find the infotainment system still lit up. I have to restart the van and shut it off again. Near as I can figure if I move from hitting the park button to hitting the off button too quickly the infotainment system stays on when I open the door and it's easy to miss unless you are watching for it.

Unless Canadian models are different when it comes to cycling through power modes, at least two things are amiss: 1) after the engine is off, it takes another hit on the start/stop button to turn on accessory power (the time lapse between hitting the park button and hitting the engine start/stop button isn't a factor; in fact one can go straight to the engine start/stop button, the van will automatically shift to park, and if brake hold is enabled it will engage the parking brake as well); 2) with accessory power on, it is hard to miss the beeping when opening the driver door.

Dumb/newbie (to the Ody) question here.

When I get into the van from the front passenger side and let's say I want to do something on the infotainment system (such as looking up an address on the GPS, for example), I press the START/STOP button to put the car into ACCESSORY mode to turn on the GPS system. But when I'm done, how do I turn off the ACCESSORY mode and shut it off? Is there a proper way? Right now, I have to press the START/STOP again to turn it to the ON mode and then press the START/STOP the third time -- but this still keeps the infotainment system on. It's only when I get out of the van and then lock the door is when everything shuts off. Am I doing this wrong?
