I recently purchased a 2015 EXL with 56000 miles and to me it feels sluggish when accelerating fro a stopped position,I have given it a tune up and am replacing plugs and transmission fluid next week has anyone had this problem before and if so what was problem.

Welcome to Ody club!

The throttle response is programmed for smoothness and fuel efficiency, not neck-snapping launches. These minivans are not fast simply because they are minivans. Are you sure there is an actual problem with the van, or is it a question of being used to something snappier and now your Ody feels less than what you are accustomed to?

It could be just me I haven't driven a van in about 7 years and drive a pilot to work thru the week but the main reason I am doing a complete tune up on van is because of buying used and I don't know vehicle history and even though it's not required by manufacturer at this time I just feel better by doing it.

With 56K miles there is nothing wrong with the plugs unless VCM is causing a problem. I'd recommend adding a VCMuzzler or MaxMuzzler to disable VCM.

That is wise and prudent. These vans respond extremely well to proper maintenance.

Again, plugs are good for 100K unless something is fouling them like VCM.
John is right about this. Have you pulled the plugs to look at them? If so, and they look good, you can save yourself some dough and keep the old spark plugs.

But if they are oily and fouled, you probably have bigger problems than needing new spark plugs. Disabling VCM should be pretty high up the priority list with these vans - it just ain't worth the hassle.

Just what do you mean by "I have given it a tune up"?
I agree that perhaps having a look at the plugs may be warranted, disabling the VCM prudent.
Nobody around here is going to discourage you from changing the trans fluid.
I might be inclined to have a look at the brakes, maybe they are dragging? It's about time for some pads.
Maybe someone just did them wrong? Could the parking brake be sticking?
If the Pilot is a similar year it should be almost the same.
