Hi,
Just want to confirm that it is okay for a 2012 honda odyssey to haul about a yard of topsoil in a 5'x8' uhaul utility trailer in I have an aftermarket transmission cooler installed.

If you are keeping it below the ~3000lb GVW of the UHaul trailer is rated for, sure...

so 1 yard of top soil is about 2100lb and uhaul's 5'x8' is about 1000lbs. Will that be a little too much weight for an odyssey?

That weight will be fine as long as you have the ATF cooler. Total payload (people + gear + trailer) < 3500.

FWIW I have also pulled 4300 lb for short excursions across town, but I wouldn't drive at highway speeds with that weight.

Ya you’ll be fine. I’ve heard starting very slow from dead stop is a good idea to avoid breaking stuff from those who live out of travel trailers…
