I was having issues with my 2011 Odyssey dying and finally not starting so I replaced the fuel pump assembly(with a cheap one). Problem immediately resolved for a few weeks but then it seemed that the assembly started to fail because it would sputter when in reverse and would sometimes die when coming to a stop at a light. It was also loud. I replaced it with another one(still cheap at $60) which seemed to be better. Drove fine going forward but still hesitated when in reverse or on a slight incline and still loud. Finally I figured I would just buy a premium part and purchased a Delphi FG1185($200). It was listed on Rock Auto as a premium part that was supposed to be very quiet. Once installed it was still very loud and the van still hesitated in reverse(not as bad but it shouldn't at all). So to me it seems that the diagnoses of the the fuel pump assembly is still correct but that maybe there is something I am missing. There doesn't seem to be a fuel filter but maybe I am wrong. Any suggestions on what the issue may be? Do I need to get a different assembly? Another part? Any thoughts or suggestions?
