Someone (I won’t name names) scraped a support beam in a parking garage a few months back and some expose metal on this panel is starting to rust - plus it doesn’t look good.

What is this panel called and is it something I could easily replace myself? (I’m not a mechanic but have done some work myself like replacing sliding door rollers.):

On that note if I wanted to replace the sliding door’s panel next to it, do I need to replace the entire sliding door?

That's the rear quarter panel. Good luck, to replace it, you have to cut it out and weld in a new piece.

The rear quarter panel is the single most difficult panel to replace on the car because it is not removable like the hood, doors, or front fenders are. You won't be able to fix that easily yourself, no.

Yep, I’d see what a body shop says. I believe you can only get a whole replacement panel, very expensive.
The piece above is for 05-10, don’t know what year you have. Possibly get a piece from a salvage yard, or as mentioned above, paintless dent repair. They do sell a skin for the sliding door.

05-10 forum plus the design is quite distinctive.

The sliding door skin can be replaced but I'm not sure how much work is involved with that. In the end it may be easier to just replace the door.

I would look for both items at a pic-n-pull, or U-pull it (whatever they’re calling them). Yes it would probably be easier and cheaper to replace the door. The quarter panel, either touch It up as best I could or leave it as is.

When I was parting out the 06 touring model, I sold the p/s sliding door complete for $100, no idea what one would go for in a salvage yard.

TBH this looks like something that should buff right off. Looks very minimal. Have you asked a body shop for a quote to correct the dent and paint. I don't see how this warrants quarter panel replacement. I would estimate that quarter panel replacement will cost $2K easily. And.... given Odyssey propensity to rust in this area I doubt junk yard offers a lot of options for mint quarter panels (then there is labor to be paid to take if off carefully). You can find fabricated quarter panels online. They may fit poorly (my experience with Civic and Outback. I welded patch panels myself, partially for fun and for education purposes and no desire to pay about $1K per side. Then I had a shop to proper color match and paint it. It looked OK from 6 feet :). Just paint job cost me $400 for Outback. And that was not a complete quarter panel, just a patch panel around wheel well).
I would just touch up the scratches, buff it and forget about it.
