We just bought a used 2019 EX-L "as is" from our local dealer. I've tried inserting CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs into the player. Each time, the player says "loading" for about a minute, then changes to the error message in the attached photo. Any ideas? I tried inserting a cleaning disc but that didn't change anything.

Have you tried contacting the dealer you purchased the Odyssey from? I am assuming it was not a Honda dealer. See if they are willing to make it right.

Thanks. It was actually Leith Honda, but the van was sold "as is." We found a few minor problems prior to purchase (paint scratches, missing remote/headsets, missing center console rubber pad, etc.) and they refused to fix any of those items, so I doubt they would be willing to help us with something major like this.

I see. It definitely sounds like they wanted nothing to do with the van, other than to get it off the lot.
Have you tried pulling the fuse for the player, or disconnecting the car battery?

Did you ever get a resolution to this? We just bought a used 2019 Pilot and am getting the exact same message. Interested to hear your findings.
