I have difficulty in identifying the cable that goes to the outside hand latch for the passenger-side sliding door on 2010 Honda Odyssey LX. It is right next to the actuator (black) and the spring. See the attached photo. Would anyone know the part number? (My outside handle is inoperative because of this broken linkage.) Thank you.

It's either 29 or 42 as it is hard to tell. Each costs 5-6 bucks so I would order them both.

Or we could check with our parts diagram expert @HondaGoBrrr on the correct part#.

I believe you need #29 or #28. Description says both are for the outer handle, as you can see from the diagram #28 is significantly longer than #29. I can't really tell based on your photo which of the two is broken, I would suggest comparing the cable length to figure out which one it is.

It's #42. The broken cable has a pink snap and based on description for #31 it is a PINK clip which attaches #42 to the latch. Part is described as slide door open latch cable.

The upward going cable that goes behind the three horizontal cable connect somewhere behind the silver plate. Is there a procedure for unhooking it? The photos and the parts diagram are included (cable #42). Cable 42 connects to something behind the plate (control assembly) labeled 15/35. The three bolts 56 do not release the plate . What am I missing? Thank you.

Yes, it was #42. The dealer had it in stock. I am about to replace it. (However, the upper end goes behind a plate that I have not yet figured out how to remove.)
As you have seen, splitting discussion(s) on the same issue is not beneficial to the site or you the poster. I have merged your new thread with your old one. Please stay with this one thread to resolve your door issues.

Dang, I have to tackle this one day in my 08. The passenger latch is giving me issues closing the door.
