Hi everyone. With a growing family, we recently traded in a 23 Pilot for a 25 EX-L. Pretty happy so far, except for several potential concerns. Does anyone experience these:
1. Noticeable vibration/movement of the side mirrors, especially drivers. Is this normal?
2. Front doors shut fine with some "push/pull", but do not latch with minimal force.
3. Cold air seems to flow from drivers armrest buttons openings when driving, especially at higher speeds. I can feel the draft with my arm and hand, worsened when the passengers window (opposite side) is slightly open. Drivers window is shut. Seals look fine and nothing visibly wrong with door. Does anyone have this?

I previously had a new 2025 Elite trim (loaner) and didn't notice the above. Seems like the upper trim is a bit smoother and/or more refined?!

I am starting to wonder if there are more differences between the trims than the published, i.e. wheels, acoustic glass, entertainment system, etc.. Does the ex-l have a worse build quality?

I've also noticed that the external bottom side trim ( part you step on under doors) is not the same color as the rest of the van, its black and possibly looser. Same trim piece on Touring or Elite matches the vehicle color. Seems a bit strange. Also seemingly matte v gloss differences in other pieces, etc.. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

I don't have a current gen van (mine is a 2007) but this sounds odd to me. The build "quality" should not be different between trims. Materials, that makes sense. Matte vs gloss finishes, I could see that. Different color trim pieces is normal between trims on various cars (I can't speak to the 2025 Odyssey in particular).

But, your complaint about #1 and #3 sound very odd. #2 is probably normal if nothing is rubbing.

I have only experienced vibrating mirrors on aftermarket mirrors replaced after an accident. That should NOT be happening on a new van with the original mirrors. That might be a complaint I would consider taking to the dealer.

1. When we got our 21' the mirror vibrated and replaced under warranty. Fixed the issue.
2. They don't close by themselves but never noticed anything abnormal about the force required.
3. Nope. Sounds like the inner vapor barrier is not sealing and allowing outside air in. Warranty.

Build quality should be the same, all made on the same line.

Trim colors and textures are different. Yes, EXL rockers are black plastic not painted. Rear spoiler is not painted either.

I definitely notice the doors don't latch with minimum force up front. I figured it must seal really well or just stiff.

My younger sister just received a newer GM SUV and it too was stiff so I chalked it up to that.

Try rolling one of the windows down and see if it's easier. If it is then it's definitely air pressure/resistance that's holding it up.

Just totally guessing here. Is the movement/vibration of the mirrors constant? Do the mirror on the EX-L aim downwards when in reverse (my father's acura did this and I found it pretty irritating)? Do the side mirrors on the EX-L fold inwards when the vehicle is turned off? If so, they may not be fully deployed when the vehicle is on, a quick gently pull should ensure that the mirrors are aligned properly.

I would take the van back to the dealership and have your concerns addressed.

Only the Elite trim has the auto folding mirrors.

As to #2 three months ago traded a 2020 EX_L for a 24' Elite. In that time I have had the driver door not unlock on two occasions when approaching the car. Would not work with fob or even the key. Other does opened. After squeezing through the pax side door the drivers door opened - from the inside, like it was unlocked. Dealer checked it but could not find or replicate the issue.
As to #1 I have had a 2015, 2020 and now the 24'. Never had outside mirrors vibrate. On the 24' they also remotely fold in & out. All good. Sounds like a warranty issue to be addressed.
