I bought the Covercraft Car Sun Shade from AutoAnything. I was surprised to find that it came it two pieces - one for the right and one for the left. It made sense once I put them up in the van, as the windshield is so large. It would be really bulky to try to do with one large piece.

I've used it a few times, and it's pretty sturdy. It's cardboard based and folds up. Silver on one side and a felt-like black material on the inside. I used it on a day where the heat was in the 70's and it was pretty warm when I took it down about about 45 minutes of use.

My only complaint is that there is no good place to store it. I was hoping to slide them between the seat and the console, but it's just too long, and even 1 side is too wide to slide down comfortably. I put them in on the floor behind the driver seat and try to prop them up so my kids don't walk all over them. However, just about any sunshade will have the same problem for a windshield that big... you have to put it somewhere when it's not in use. I have one for my other car that folds down in to disk about a foot wide, but it's not a very good one - it sacrifices quality for compact storage.

Interested in this also. I had my old leftover ones from my '05 Accord Coupe but they were too small. I'm going to try the ones from Honda Fit, which maybe too large. Probably a size in between should work well.

I have the style that are two roundish pieces, that collapse down into a small circle.

Can anyone recommend a two-piece model? Or are these one-piece better? We are new to sunshades. We want one before our road trip down to FL.
I personally like the two piece ones that fold into a compact circle. They take some getting used to at first but after you fold them a few times, you'll be a pro. Unfortunately, I can't find any to fit the Oddy's windshield. I just bought a jumbo set at Target and the size was 28 x 31 and they were too small. :frown: I wish they would come out with some that will fit the windshield because I don't like the one piece ones due to how big they are when folded up. I have a Touring model, don't know if the windshield is the same as a non touring or not.

The one I posted above it the 2 piece model and will fit the Odyssey. The size is 31" x 38". It currently looks like Amazon is out of stock though.

Attached are some pictures. It's a little snug up by the rear view mirror, but overall it's a good fit.

Thanks for the pictures! I checked it yesterday and it was out of stock, but I just checked again and it is back in stock. Thanks so much!!!!! We really need these in this hot Vegas sun.

I take my enthusiasm back from the Amazon Super Jumbo sunshade back a little bit.

It appears after a few weeks of use, the size of the shade has become an issue. The shade is just a tad too large by about 1 - 1.5" too long. After repeated use, the shade has messed with the windshield seal. It seems like the shade was getting jammed into in between the windshield and the dash a bit to far. Now the seal has gotten loose and the sticky side of it is exposed and getting worse each time I use the sunshade. Just be careful and don't jam the shade too hard towards the dash and the windshield.

Good to know! I bought one from WalMart (Super Jumbo) with the same dimensions and it is a tad big. I have been jamming it a bit so I will watch that now. Exactly where on the dash/windshield are you noticing this?

It's on the passenger side, about right in the middle of the glovebox. I'll try to snap a picture of it, if I can get the angle close enough.

I am reconsidering and now want to find a 2-shade setup so that it would be more collapsible. Any recommendations? Please provide a link if you can. Thanks.

Was at AutoZone yesterday and they had the "Jumbo" one-piece sunshade on sale for $7.99 (was $13.99) ... so we picked up 2 of them. One for my 2001 MDX and one for our 2011 Odyssey Touring.

On the MDX, it fits nicely (and easily) across the entire front window (behind the rearview mirror, sunshade between mirror and windshield) with the visors down.

On the Odyssey, it fits, but not as easily. It too was placed behind the mirror (shade between mirror and windshield). Getting it to stay up and putting the visors down was not as easy for a one-person operation, but still doable.

Hey for less than $9 with tax each, I cannot complain too much.
