This past Sunday while the wife and I were out running around I decided to turn on the ac. After just a short period I notice I was not getting any cool air out of my side of the van. The ac on the right side was working perfectly. Before I make an appointment to take it in I would like to know if other owners have had the same problem and how it was fixed. Thanks for your time.

The settings were 68 for the left side .... 70 for the right side .... and 66 for the rear. The right side and rear were working perfectly. My side or left was just blowing outside temp air. I even did a sysc to see if that would help.

Ironic. Just got off the phone with dealer. My 2011 EXL just blew a condenser or something while sitting at a stop light an hour ago. Waves of steam and hissing. Thought I was on fire at first. Poop happens.

Diagnosis of my problem was upper condensor hose loose.
Relay shorted. Seals blown out. Relay and seals replaced and system recharged.
That's now my XM radio replaced and a loss of air conditioning in my first 8500 miles of ownership. I've had worse with other vehicles but I've had better too.

Hey Shadow. Air conditioning woes...In our first 100 miles, we noticed that the A/C would work fine while moving at highway speeds. But coming or staying at a stop, it would heat back up (not good in Dallas summers). Took it to the dealer and they said they found a bubble in the refrigerant line. New one to me.....Works fine a few hundred miles later.

Check out this July 2012 Honda Service News individual article, as it describes the issue you are experiencing. It will appear in the full issue of the July 2012 Honda Service News upon release.

We have a 2011 Odyssey and had the same issue as BlackenTruffle did. Driving in town in 90 degree weather and it starts blowing warm air almost as though the heater was on. This was in all three locations front left, right and back. Temp control was on 70 and synch'd. My wife drove over it to the dealer the third time this happened, Van is about a year old. The service tech could not get it in the shop at that time but he tried everything he could and could not get it to blow cold air. Made an appointment and took it in and of course it work perfect. They kept it for 2 days and could not find anything.
It has been about a month and has not happened since.

Although it seems like EE4life found the problem, I would check the cabin air filter as well. Compared to our 2007 Ody, the 2012 filter seems to capture more. After about 2,000 miles our filter had all sorts of junk in it.
