Strut bearings do wear out, and you can get some rattling. I went with complete assemblies from 1AAuto.com and am completely satisfied with them 2005-07 Honda Odyssey Front Strut & Spring Assembly Pair TRQ SCA57196

It’s certainly possible your A-arms or sway bar tie rods are rattling, too. Any vehicle with enough miles to need strut cartridges has probably also worn out most of the front end moving components, too.

I recommend getting the van on solid support with the front end elevated & checking the front end thoroughly. You might need some more strut parts; you almost certainly need some other bits, too. All these are helpful.

Concur with strut replacement. Our van is 2005, similar mileage, and has similar replacement parts.

Difference is I already replaced struts and frankly that prob made biggest difference. EASY replacement compared to other work you’ve done. Used these - cheap & are working fine ~18 months in.

Ok, thank you so much for everyone's advice and experience! And I just tried something that may help shed light on what is making the noise or it may not be related but, I just jacked up the front end so both front tires were off the ground. Then I found I was able to turn the front wheels and there was a clicking sound coming from where the axles go into the tranny. I actually was surprised that I could turn the wheels, should this happen since they are drive wheels? Rear wheel drive cars rear wheels will not turn that way so I am a little nervous about this. And then I dropped the van down and took it for a drive and the clunking sound was mostly gone. Not sure what is going on here! I think I will still replace the strut assembly as I am sure they could use it anyway.
