Around 9.5 sec.

Isn't that a little like asking what's the EPA rated interior volume of a 911?

Sure there's an answer, but who really cares...

Well apparently odysman cares. I'm guessing this is not your kind of topic adam1991 so could you please keep these sort of comments to yourself.

Thanks for the info....I just want to know everything about the Ody....the PROS and the CON.

Thanks,
Alan
My best time was about 9.8s. And that was with less than 1/5 tank of gas and only me in the van.

Hi, Alan. Performance is very important to me and was really the main reason I chose the 2002 Ody over the 2002 Grand Caravan ES 3.8L. which seemed pretty doggy power wise and a bit sloppy handling wise, even with sport suspension, but otherwise a pretty nice van and my second choice.

Here are some published numbers, the accuracy you will have to make a judgment on.
Car & Driver Feb 2000 issue long term test of their 1999 Ody with essentially the same 210 hp drive train as the 2001 at 40,000 miles. Their tested numbers where 0-60mph 9.4 sec, 0-100mph 29.2 sec and 1/4 mile 17.2 sec @ 82 mph. Top speed 117 mph governor limited.

C&D also reviewed the 2002 Ody with 240 bhp in their Oct 01 issue and estimated it's performance as 0-60 in 8.1 sec, 0-100 in 23.5 sec., 1/4 mile in 16.5 sec at 86mph and top speed 118mph, governor limited.

The 99-02 Ody's regardless of year, clearly have the power advantage over all other mini-vans in my opinion.

Yep Car and Driver gets 9.4 sec in their 99 Ody both new and now at 40,000 miles.

I think that their estimates for the 2002 Ody were way off. I think they were expecting the final drive ratio as the MDX.

Canadian Driver tested the 2002 Ody and got a time of 9.0 sec. So expect a half second faster 0-60 time beteween the 01 and 02 Ody's.
C&D's estimated 8.1sec 0-60mph does seem pretty optimistic for the '02 Ody. That's nearly as fast as the Accord V-6. BTW. When did Canadian Driver test the '02 Ody? That test hasn't been added to their web site yet.
http://www.canadiandriver.com Or am I missing something?

Thanks. Mark
Mark, right now they just have a short summary in the car of the year comparisons under Station wagons and Minivans.
Found it Canodyssey. Thanks. The Ody sure is the runaway winner in "Wagon/Mini-van of the Year voting".

No, Nestor, I won't keep my comments to myself.

And every time you come in and delete this, I'll come back and repost it--unless you want to delete your own little rant there.

Hey. I put a smiley up there. Nestor didn't get it. Deleted my stuff twice.

I don't stand for that.
Yes, you posted twice about not keeping those type of comments to yourself. The reason why I delete them is because you where ruining the topic.
